Smitten by Lauren Rowe

This is an amazing song and matches the book to a T 🙂

I love Lauren Rowe’s books. I am one of the lucky ones who find out about her books early on. If I am not mistaken when I first started reading her, she was just released the second book of The Club Trilogy and I was hooked. Of course, this had some disadvantages as well, I had to wait for the next books 😀 All the books starting from The Club Trilogy are showcasing everyone in the gang but Smitten can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you to read at least the Morgan Brothers series.

Matthew Fishberger, aka Fish, is the bass player of the famous rock group 22 Goats, which has 3 band members; Dax, Fish, and Colin. Since they have been together since childhood, they are like brothers and I love the dynamics between them. Fish always being the middleman who keeps the peace and balance in the trio. He is sweet, understanding, funny, and always trying to make everyone around him happy. When Fish’s path crossover with Alessandra Tennison, aka Ally, in one of the parties their label owner big, bad Reed Rivers throw, his life takes an unexpectedly sweet turn. Ally is attending college in one of the famous music schools and she is an inspirational musician. She is also super shy and cute. Thanks to her sister she ends up in Reed’s party and most of the attendees are either her idols or her favorite musicians. When Fish starts to talk to her, at the beginning she thinks it is because of politeness but she will soon realize that is not the reason. The moment they meet, sparks are flying, and they are both attracted to each other.  But both parties being shy and getting interrupted at the wrong time, they cannot take their sweet chat to the next level, which I loved by the way. It gave them to get to know each other better through calls and messages. I love how their relationship developed from friendship to lovers. It was also great to see how supportive and uplifting they were for one another.

Smitten was a sweet, innocent, and refreshing story, that I enjoyed very much. I cannot let go Josh +Kat being my favorite couple but Fish+Ally became pretty close to knocking them from their spot 🙂 I believe and hope next Lauren Rowe will be Colin’s story. I cannot wait to get my hands on that book but for now, I think now I will go back and start re-reading from Josh and Kat Trilogy. This book made me realize how much I missed the gang 🙂

    1. You will enjoy her books. Morgan’s are crazy 🙂 Reed is pretty intense and my favorite is Josh+Kat. If you are planning to start reading more from her definitely start with Josh+Kat.
