‘The Chase’ by Elle Kennedy

Aaaaannnnndddd she is BACK! Elle Kennedy is one of my favorite authors and I cannot even remember since when I was waiting for this book 🙂 ‘The Chase’ is the first book of Elle Kennedy’s new hockey romance series ‘Briar U’, which is a spin-off of the ‘Off-Campus’ series. When I was reading ‘Off-Campus’ series, I was hoping it to continue because there were so many characters I wanted to read about and thanks to Elle Kennedy it became reality 🙂 Also even it wasn’t enough it was great to see itsy bitsy bits of Hannah, Garrett, Dean, Allie and Tucker. So back to this amazing book. I will try to do my best without giving away to much so you can enjoy the book as much as I can.

After a small mishap Summer Heyward- Di Laurentis asked to leave Brown University, so she transfers Briar University. She is a fashion major. She is beautiful, bubbly, smart, strong, and sassy. I love how straight forward Summer is. She doesn’t hold back. Other than getting a fresh start being in Briar University has other advantages. She will be closer to her crush, her brother Dean’s old teammate, Colin Fitzgerald, a.k.a Fitzy. On the outside Fitzy looks like a bad boy jock. He is a tattooed, sexy hockey player but looks can be deceiving. He is silent, strong, introverted and a gamer, who majors in Fine Arts and Computer Programming. He totally is a nerdy-jock 🙂 From the first moment on you can feel the sizzling hot chemistry they have. Attraction and chemistry is there but so are the meddling friends and misunderstandings. Unfortunately, their new relationship has a rocky start. Thank you Garrett!!! After clearing the misunderstandings and becoming friends their relationship will take a new turn and after awhile they will realize that fighting with their attraction for each other is a lost cause. So you want to know steamy, sexy details or hilarious moments? For that you have to read the book 🙂 But I assure you, you will get hot and bothered but also will be cracking up, the banter between characters were hilarious.

This book has been my most highly anticipated book of the year and I’m happy to say it did not disappoint. Overall, ‘The Chase’ is sweet and sexy story that will make you laugh out loud and swoon with a little bit of an emotional twist. I read it in one sitting and if you are a fan of this genre I believe it will be a challenge for you to put it down

Lastly, the side characters were amazing too. I loved Brenna Jensen, Mike Hollis and Hunter Davenport. I am dying to read their stories. I am also really curious about the Harvard guys Brooks Weston, Jake Connelly and Josh McCharty. I am soooo hoping there will be more books to come in this series. I definitely will be reading them all. Thanks to the sneak peak at the end of the book I know the heroine of ‘Risk’ will be Brenna. I am rooting Mike Hollis for the hero but it is only hoping right now. Let’s see who will get to be the hero 🙂
