‘Bedwrecker’ can be read as a standalone but I recommend you to read ‘No Pants Required’ before it. ‘Bedwrecker’ is a funny, sexy and light-hearted book that you can easily read in one sitting. If you already read ‘No Pants Required’, you already meet our heroine Maggie and heard of our hero Keen.
Maggie is beautiful, artistic, little wild, former life-guard and doesn’t believe happily ever afters. She is Makayla’s (No Pants Required’s heroine) best friend. To celebrate New Year’s Eve, she flies to New York with Makayla, Cam and Brooklyn. When they are partying and getting drunk in a club, she sees a tall, dark, and handsome stranger and she decides to go after him but later she realizes that he is not a stranger at all. Mr. tall, dark, and handsome ends up being infamous Keen Masters, who is Cam’s best friend and Maggie’s roommate Brooklyn’s half-brother.
Keen, who is also know as Wall Street wolf, is a sinfully sexy, smart and just like Maggie, he doesn’t believe happily ever afters. So after the introductions Keen leaves Maggie by the bar to go say hi to Brooklyn and doesn’t come back. Maggie, who is wild and used to getting what she wants, goes to the dance floor to find Keen and after spending some hot and passionate time on the dance floor, they end up in Maggie’s room. After the unforgettable passionate night they share, they decide to keep in touch and Keen promises to fly to see Maggie in two weeks. However, due to some problems Keen faces at work he stops answering Maggie’s texts. Six weeks passes and Maggie still cannot get over the pain and rejection she feels, while Keen is lost in his misery caused by his job. But everything changes when Cam and Brooklyn shows up and drag Keen’s self-pitying ass to Laguna Beach and Keen ends up at Maggie’s house. Spending six weeks in misery, seeing Keen only makes Maggie feel hate and anger. And before even sorting out her feelings towards Keen, Maggie is getting stuck with working for Keen. Yeah, you read it right. Thanks to Cam, Keen ends up being Maggie’s boss annnndddd the fun begins 🙂 I loved their banter and the way they both seek control but somehow end up giving up the control.
If you are looking for a fast, light-hearted, funny and sexy story, this book is definitely for you.
