‘The Game of Sexes’ by Opal K. Dante

I haven’t read anything like this book before. If I have to describe the book in one word, I think the word will be ‘shocking’. Even though, I read the summary of the book before starting to read it, it blow my mind away.

Evie is a twenty-year-old virgin, who was raised by a single mother. Five years ago her mother married a man named Sebastian and Evie was shipped to boarding school. She is in love with her stepfather, after she is back from 5-year exile, she is committed to get his attention. She resents her mother for abandoning her. Being away from her mother and her marriage, she didn’t realize that their marriage is nothing, as it seems.

Sebastian is a shipping tycoon and at every opportunity he leaves for Singapore. After being back from boarding school, Evie does everything to attract Sebastian’s attention and when she succeeds she realizes that her attraction is not one sided. But before Sebastian acts on his desires, he tells Evie that she needs to take a trip to Singapore on Vertigo. Vertigo is a ship that is owned by Sebastian, which he calls his second home. After the trip starts she starts discovering Sebastian’s secrets, which is full of surprises.

This book is definitely not a typical erotic romance. It is full of action and adventure. The plot has a lot of twists and it keeps you guessing what is going to happen next and believe me you won’t be able to guess. After what Evie discovers at the end of the book, it would be interesting to see what will happen next.
