Clipped Wings was in my to-read list for a while and somehow I didn’t get a chance to start reading the series. When I saw ‘Get Inked’, which is a Pucked Series and Clipped Wings crossover novella, I decided to start reading it before reading ‘Get Inked’ so I know about the characters from Clipped Wings and enjoy the book more. BEST DECISION EVER 🙂 I am a huge fan of Pucked Series and I really like Helena Hunting’s style and I enjoyed reading Clipped Wings Series as much as Pucked Series. In comparison while Pucked Series was hilarious, sexy and light, Clipped Wings is sad, sexy and darker.
Clipped Wings is a love story of two broken people, Hayden and Tenley. Hayden is a tattoo artist who co-owns a tattoo parlor with his two best friends. He is tall, hot and covered in tattoos and piercings. Tenley is a graduate student who lives across the street from the tattoo parlor. After the tragic loss she had to endure, she doesn’t let anyone get too close. While Hayden is not looking for a relationship, after meeting Tenley he wants to get to know her. They have a special connection and linked through the pain of loss they both endured. They are both drawn to each other and even with the secrets they kept hidden, they fell for one another.
It is a really emotional story filled with heartbreaking pasts, funny moments and steamy scenes. Can’t wait to read the third book of the series ‘Fractures in Ink’.
