This is the first time, I am reading Tia Louise and I really liked her style. Both books are written from multiple POV. Before I start reading the series I thought, I will be reading something similar to the movie ‘Prince & Me’ but it was not even close other than the Royalty vs. Commoner. There is a lot of action going on in the series.
Our heros and heroines for the series are Zelda, Ava, Rowan and MacCallum aka Zee, Ava-bug, Ro and Cal. Zelda and Ava are sisters. Their parents passed away when they were young and after they were forced to leave the foster care system, they were struggling to survive the street life. Zee became a con artist and gambler and Ava became a petty thief. Rowan and MacCallum are brothers and also princes. Rowan Westringham Tate is the crown prince and MacCallum Lockwood Tate is known as the playboy prince.
So here how the story starts in ‘The Prince & The Player’:
During a con Zee crosses roads with Ro and Cal’s villain uncle who was exiled by Ro. He has a job for Zee. Becoming orphans in a young age Zee has been the sole protector and provider of Ava all her life and she will do anything to protect her. After being blackmailed and threatened by the villain uncle, Zee agrees to do the job. Zee thinks the job is simple. She needs to make the Rowan fall for her.
Our crown prince is getting ready for becoming a King and he is making bold choices to move his country into a better shape. Cal supports his brother in every decision he makes. Once Rowan meets Ava, he is captivated by her and all his plans regarding his future starts to involve her.
The easy job gets complicated when Cal starts distracting Zee every chance he gets. After a while it gets impossible for Zee to resist his charms and job becomes a secret she regrets when Zee falls for Cal and Rowan falls for Ava. When their secret rendezvous becomes a public knowledge, Zee needs to make a decision and as always she sacrifices her love for her sister’s happiness.
At the end of the book, I was heart broken and couldn’t wait to start ‘A Player for A Princess’. Story starts where ‘The Prince and The Player’ left off and it was not what I expected at all. Rowan is cool and Ava is nice and all but Zee and Cal are my favorite. Every time Zee runs away he follows her and our bad boy becomes an understanding nice guy when he is with Zee. This book also show how strong Zee is. She never backs down and always fights for herself and the people she cares about. This book made me respect Zee and Cal much more than I already did.
If you’re looking for a fun, flirty, fairy tailish story full of action, this series is for you.
