I really enjoyed reading ‘Kisses in the Sand’ series. This is the first time I read from this author and I liked her style. The story was funny but at the same time it contained enough seriousness and emotion. I start the series with ‘The Best Friend Bargain’, which is the 3rd book of the series because I wasn’t aware it was a series 🙂 When I realize it, I went and read the first two books. It kind of spoiled the surprise for me knowing some of them in advance but I really enjoyed reading the series. Here are my reviews regarding each book:
- Would I recommend the series: Yes
- Would I re-read this series: Maybe Later
- Would I read future books by this author: Yes

Keeping Mr. Right Now:
Our power couple for this book is Sophie and Zane. Zane is a pro-surfer a.k.a. playboy extraordinaire, who needs to improve his image, meets smart, clumsy and compassionate Sophie, who is trying to prove herself to her family and her boss that she is good at what she does. Story takes places in a small costal town in CA. Sophie and Zane both have insecurities about themselves. While Sophie thinks she is he’s out of her league because she can’t quite believe he would really be interested in what she has to offer. While, Zane thinks she’s out of his league because he is not worthy of a woman who is as smart as Sophie but being around Sophie makes him feel smart and special and brings out the insecurities that are caused by his father’s behavior in his childhood. Spending time with Zane allows Sophie to see thoughtful, insightful, caring man that lies in bad boy exterior. They complete each other and through out the story you see that they bring out different sides of their characters out by the help of their relationship. It is a really sweet story and if you still didn’t read it, check it out and get ready to be Zaned!

Blame It On the Kiss:
Second book is about Honor & Bryce. If you already read ‘Keeping Mr. Right Now’ you already have an idea about our couple 🙂 Honor is unselfish and tries to help everyone around her but because of her past regrets she believes she isn’t capable of loving. On the other hand, Bryce is businesslike, protective and a steady relationship kindda man who wants a family but after his last relationship that left him with heartbreak, he doesn’t want a relationship. Our couple gets together by wish list of Peyton, who is Honor’s best friend and Bryce’s ex that died. Through out the book you see them struggling with guilt and grieve while trying to protect their hearts from another heartbreak. It was a sweet and emotional story.

The Best Friend Bargain:
Olivia & Danny is the final couple of the series. In the previous books readers had a chance to see bits and pieces of Danny but not much of Olivia. Danny is hot, funny, caring who will do anything for his best friend. On the other hand, Olivia is little naïve and impulsive, acts before she thinks and will do anything not to disappoint her mother. She knows that she can always depend on Danny. Even though, she knows Danny’s thoughts regarding marriage and children, she goes to Danny after getting knocked up in Europe and ask him to marry her. Because Danny’s slowly going blind, marriage and children weren’t a part of his future but because of the promise he made to Olivia when they were kids he agrees to marry her. Through out the story you see the shift of their relationship from being best friends to lovers and struggles they face. It was a sweet, sexy and emotional story.
