Wylde by Sawyer Bennett

Wylde is the seventh book of Arizona Vengeance series. I am standing by what I said in one of my previous reviews about the series. With each and every book, this series is getting better and better.

Aaron Wylde is the latest addition to Vengeance’s first line brotherhood. He is straightforward, honest and loyal. His fun and carefree attitude works like a charm to lure people in 🙂 Ohh and he is the notorious playboy of the team or maybe NHL. After reading this book I realize till now we didn’t really get a chance to know the real Wylde. We got bits and pieces of him in Tacker and Rafe’s books but there wasn’t much. With this book you will get a chance to see a different part of him and funny thing is when he starts to show his hidden parts, even his friends was shocked. So, this all started with a run interrupted by a road work, detoured to a bookstore and ended up with a wager forced date 🙂 Clarke Webber owns a small bookstore called Clarke’s Corner. She is witty, smart and really beautiful. She never thought one morning some jock would come into her store, shamelessly flirt with her and then surprise the hell out of her by his classic literature knowledge. Also, thanks to that literature knowledge he wins 2 wedding dates with her. Yeap, it is the wedding season for Vengeance players. One by one they are tying the knot and I am seeing more weddings in their future. Wylde is intrigued by Clarke but he is losing from the start. Him being a pro-hockey player makes everything harder for him because she doesn’t want to be in limelight. I loved how considered Wylde being towards Clarke. He does everything to earn her trust and turn their relationship more than 2 wager won dates.  In some parts Clarke kind of annoyed me but when I learned what happened to her, the way she acts seemed more understandable. It takes a bit for them to find their footing in the relationship/dating because neither of them is familiar with it. It was fun to see Wylde’s transformation to Aaron 🙂 I loved how everyone from the previous books were there to support them in their new beginning.

Wylde is heartwarming, sweet, swoony romantic page-turner. I enjoyed each and every page of this story. It was nice to see all the couples from the previous books and you will also get to see some new faces like Kane Bellan, James Steele and Baden Oulett. I am really curious of all their stories because Sawyer Bennet gives little breadcrumbs here and there and you are intrigued.  I am looking forward to reading the next book of the series but mostly I am dying to know what happens to Baden next because if his story ends like this, I will be heartbroken. But I don’t think Dominik will allow it to end it this way. He is my favorite; he always solves everything. So, in Dominik Carsons honor, I will finish my review with his motto: ‘Happy hockey players are champion hockey players.’ 🙂
