‘#FinishLine’ by Cambria Hebert

I love ‘#GearShark’ and ‘#Hashtag’ series by Cambria Hebert and really enjoyed reading them. When I finished ‘#Blur’, I was upset because it was not enough for me and so when I saw the tweet about the ‘#FinishLine’ as you can imagine I was super excited to read more of Hopper and Arrow 🙂 One of my favorite parts about the book is the GearShark interviews. It was great to see all the characters from the previous books. GearShark interviews Hopper & Arrow, Lorhaven & Joey and Drew & Trent. OMG! Reading the interviews of Lorhaven & Joey and Drew & Trent were hilarious 🙂 I wish there was more of Drew and Trent but I am hoping they will get their own book for their happily ever after and it will give us more chance to get glimpses of the characters from the ‘#Hashtag’ series 🙂

So back to ‘#FinishLine’. I hope you all read ‘#Blur’ and already know about Hopper, a.k.a. Jayson Hamilton, and Arrow. If not STOP reading this review right now and start reading ‘#Blur’ 🙂 Because I really don’t want this review to spoil the previous book for you.

If you read #Blur, you may continue. LOL! So you all know that Hopper and Arrow is happily in love. Arrow is up-and-coming NASCAR driver and after his interview with GearShark, all the eyes are on him, which is not helping Hopper because he is an ex- Motocross star and due to a tragic event he faced, he goes into hiding. Unfortunately, all the press and attention Arrow is getting, leads his cover to blow.

Being in love and living together with Arrow is not enough for Hopper. He wants to tie himself to Arrow forever in every way possible. However, after his identity out in the open and his past is plastered all over the media, past memories and hurts comes rushing back. Lucky this time he is not alone, Arrow is there to support him. Even though Arrow is trying to stay strong and support Hopper, he is also struggling with the emotions Hopper’s past brought up. I love the way Arrow is always there for Hopper and it was also heartwarming to see that even though facing his past, Hopper is always there to ensure Arrow that he is Hopper’s future. Together they are strong and the way they face their struggles together and their love for each other is beautiful. I am not going to give you any more details, if you want more you need to read the book 🙂

But be ready, because Arrow and Hopper is not the only couple you will be reading about in the ‘#FinishLine’. Second part, which is shorter, is about Lorhaven and Joey from ‘#Swag’. I didn’t realize how much I missed them until reading this and yes I will be going back and re-reading their story soon 🙂 I am also not going into details about what happens but let me say this it was a nice catch-up 🙂 If you enjoyed reading ‘#Swag’, you will definitely want to know what happens next with Lorhaven and Joey.

‘#FinishLine’ is another great book by Cambria Hebert and it was great to catch-up with the other couples from the previous books. I loved how Cambria Hebert emphasises the importance of family and love in all her books. All in all ‘#FinishLine’ will make you smile, laugh, and tear up. It is a sweet, emotional and sad story that you won’t be able to put it down until you are done.

  1. I’m going to be reading this one soon, also because I’m trying to get all the “cards” of the hashtag series and the gearshark. I practically built a shrine for them.
And I agree that #blur was really good, but that it needed something… more. More happy times IMO.

    1. Cards?? I might be behind everything since I don’t even know what you mean by cards 😦 I totally agree with you on #Blur and I think #Finishline is their happy time and without it #Blur would never feel like it was complete

      1. I call them “cards” because I have no idea what their proper name is. Basically, if you E-mail Cambria a link to your review, she will send you a sometimes signed “card” with the book cover, blurb etc. They’re really pretty.
Usually, she gives them out until they run out, this is why I always read and review her books close to the release date, but sometimes she has some spare ones and asks readers to email the links anyway.
I wish I had a picture, but can’t find it anywhere!
